Job summary

Entertainer is hiring Sales Assistants to support the Tesco concession at Basildon Tesco Extra. You will help with toy displays, stock replenishment, pricing and promotions, while engaging customers with friendly, knowledgeable service.

The role is a fixed-term contract starting 6 September and ending 24 December, with hours 8am–7pm, 8 hours per week, including weekends. Training and product knowledge available to succeed.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer-facing roles preferred.
• Able to work 8 hours per week with weekend flexibility.
• Fixed term contract starting 6 September; ends 24 December.
• Able to set up and maintain product displays and promotions.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise and replenish stock, price items, and manage displays.
• Carry out bay checks at start of shift for pricing and stock accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the toy section.
• Engage with customers and use toy knowledge to assist sales.
• Support extra hours during peak Christmas period.

Job description

We are looking for energetic and hard-working Sales Assistants to join our Tesco Concession team to help support us at our busiest time of the year, working in Basildon Tesco Extra

Working as a Tesco Sales Assistant on a fixed term contract, you will be joining a small team to look after the toy aisles in our unique Entertainer branded space. You will be responsible for delivering a great shopping experience for our customers, keeping the shelves full and priced – whilst being on hand to confidently answer any toy related questions too with your newly found toy knowledge.

You will hit the ground running, setting up our eagerly anticipated Power Aisles, where we showcase our must-have toys and great value deals.

With your remote Entertainer Manager’s support and guidance, you will have the expertise to work on your own to carry out your main duties which include merchandising stock, replenishing the department, pricing and implementing promotions, whilst keeping the toy offering up to date and well stocked.

Having bucket loads of enthusiasm will help you with this unique role in which being able to work on your own initiative, and always taking pride in your work are a must!.

Key Information about this role:

• Fixed term contract starting on the 6th September
• Contract end date: Christmas Eve 24th December
• Working Hours - Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends, between the hours of 8am and 7pm is required.
• Weekly contract hours – 8 hours per week.
• Shift patterns and days will vary but will be notified in advance.
• Opportunities for you to work extra hours during our busiest Christmas weeks.

Rates of Pay:

16-20 year olds - £11.15per hour.

21-year-oldplus - £12.71per hour

• Start of shift bay checks for pricing, stock gaps and recovering general standards
• Replenishment of section, maintaining cleanliness and good organisation
