Job summary

Deichmann SE in Portsmouth is seeking a Sales Assistant for a part-time, 4-hour-per-week role at 4 Cascades Shopping Centre. Immediate start. You will engage customers, process transactions, and promote products to boost store sales.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, customer-focused and able to work well in a team, with a can-do attitude and attention to detail. Flexible schedule across Mon-Sun is expected.

Purpose : Deichmann are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Sales Assistant to join the team in our Portsmouth store. At Deichmann, our Sales Assistants play a vital role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience to our customers. This is a part time, permanent position and you will be contracted to work 4 hours per week.

Ideal candidate : If you have energy, drive and passion to work in a fast paced, customer facing, retail environment, this is the role for you! You will have a positive attitude towards providing exceptional customer service, the ability to work well within a team, the stamina to work on a fast-paced shop floor and the capacity to work calmly under pressure.

Key activities

• Approaching customers, providing helpful and knowledgeable information on our products.
• Serving customers at the till - processing sales transactions.
• Recommending and promoting complimentary products with each sale.
• Collaborating with your team to achieve store sales targets and KPI’s.
• Continuous stock replenishment to ensure the shelves are always full.
• Processing of stock deliveries in a timely manner.
• Ensuring that the shop floor is always kept clean & tidy, to a high standard.
• Any additional ad hoc duties, as and when required.

Salary/Pay : up to £12.91 per hour + non contractual, hourly sales commission.
