Job summary

WHSmith PLC is looking for a Sales Assistant to join our team in Norwich. The role involves delivering exceptional customer service on a part-time basis, with an 18-hour contract across four fixed days spread Sunday to Saturday between two branches: Norwich Hospital and Norwich Airport.

Flexibility to open at 5am and close at 8pm when required is essential. You will stock replenish, keep the store tidy and inviting, and ensure displays meet our high standards.

Qualifications

• 5 years of continuous references required for airport pass.
• Criminal Records Bureau check to be completed if application is successful.
• Photographic ID (passport or UK Driving Licence) required.
• 18-hour contract with 4 fixed days across Norwich Hospital and Norwich Airport branches.
• Must be available for 5am openings and 8pm closes when needed.

Job description

Role details: 18 hour sales assistant contract, 4 set working days ranging Sunday to Saturday, two days at Norwich Hospital branch, two days at Norwich Airport branch. Must be available for 5am opens/8pm closes based on sickness/holiday.

As a Sales Assistant you’ll provide exceptional customer service and work independently or as part of a team to deliver our fantastic store standards. We want you, our customers, and our colleagues to be proud to share their journey with us.

Airport Requirements:

• 5 years continuous references – to gain an airport pass you will need to provide 5 years’ worth of either employment or education references without any gaps
• Criminal Records Bureau Check – to be completed by WHSmith if your application is successful
• Photographic ID i.e. passport or UK Driving Licence
