Job summary

shoezone is seeking a Sales Assistant to join our Scunthorpe team on a part-time 4-hour basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers in a busy retail environment and can commit to Saturday shifts with flexibility for the rest of the week.

Job description

shoezone has an opportunity for a Sales Assistant to join our team based in Scunthorpe. You will join us on a part time (4 hours), permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary dependent on age. You will also receive career development opportunities and great benefits.

This position is required to work Saturday, however flexibility for the rest of the week is also required and the core rota is subject to change based on the needs of the business.

We are a town centre, retail park and digital footwear retailer, offering low price and high-quality footwear for the whole family, with free next day delivery on all orders, seven days a week. We operate from 257 stores and have approximately 2,000 employees across the UK.

Our store portfolio consists of 50 town centre stores, which stock the core shoezone product range and 163 hybrid town centre stores and 44 larger retail park stores which also stock additional brands such as Skechers, Hush Puppies and Kickers.

shoezone.com, which stocks online exclusive footwear, combined with our store network and marketplaces, ensures a full multi-channel offering for great customer service.

During an average year we sell 14.5 million pairs of shoes per annum at an average retail price of £13.

The Sales Assistant Role

Naturally, we don’t expect you to know shoezone inside and out, which is why we train and develop all of our Sales Assistant’s to give the knowledge, confidence and skills needed to be the best they can. However you will need a genuine enthusiasm and passion for helping people, along with a motivation to learn and develop.
