A leading charity organization in Nottingham seeks a part-time Sales Assistant to deliver exceptional customer service and support retail operations. As a Sales Assistant, you'll be at the very heart of our retail operation. You will be given autonomy in your role and encouraged to continually build your knowledge of BHF. Previous retail experience isn't essential; what truly counts is your passion, energy, and ability to deliver excellent customer service. You should be confident working within a team and capable of guiding volunteers on the shop floor. The role requires working well under pressure and independently in a dynamic environment, with attention to detail, positivity, creativity, confidence, and a passion for sustainability. Comfort with technology, including using a till, PC, smartphone, and email, is essential.

Since 1961, we've been at the forefront of research that has helped halve the number of deaths from cardiovascular disease in the UK. Our work is more vital than ever.
We raise funds for the BHF, connect with local communities, and help reduce clothing and furniture waste across the UK. With over 700 stores, we prevent around 70,000 tonnes of unwanted items from landfill each year. We receive 1.6 million items and 9.8 million bags of donations annually, and we aim to expand our reuse initiatives.
This part-time role involves 28 hours per week in one of our busy clothing stores. Our stores are fast-paced, trading 7 days a week. Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota is required. The position is on a 3-month fixed-term contract.
