Responsibilities

• Prepare quotes, proposals and technical & environmental docs.
• Liaise with procurement, warehouse, engineering and project teams.
• Provide customers with product and service information.

• Communicate updates on orders, quotations and project schedules.
• Support customer retention and post-sale activities.

Education

Engineering knowledge to HND / degree, or similar

3 years plus Application Engineering experience

Position Description

The Application Engineer role is responsible for providing bid management and technical support to the sales team to enhance the overall customer experience from initial enquiries right through to project delivery and aftermarket.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Enquiry Management

• To support the growth and development of the KAMS & BDM sales team through provision of quotes and delivery of order information for customer services and manufacturing
• Dealing with customer technical sales enquiries
• The creation and submission of tender responses and bid documentation.
• Prepare and distribute quotations, proposals and technical & environmental documentation.
• Provide customers with product and service information where applicable.
• Provide details of orders to customer services and manufacturing
• Liaising with third party suppliers at specification stage
• Assist in scheduling customer meetings, site visits, presentations and coordinating diaries/travel arrangements when necessary.
• Build strong relationships with key customers.
• Proactively communicate updates and keep customers in the loop regarding orders, quotations, deliveries and project schedules.
• Manage customer expectations effectively, resolving issues or queries and escalating when required.
• Support customer retention and repeat business initiatives.
• Monitor project milestones and communicate updates to customers and internal stakeholders.

Order Processing & Coordination

• Process technical sales orders and service contract documentation.
• Liaise with procurement, warehouse, engineering, and project teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.

CRM & Data Management

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
• Ensure CRM data integrity and compliance with company standards.

Required Education & Qualifications
