We have an exciting opportunity for a Reception and Sales colleague (internally known as a Placemaker) at Places Leisure. You will work in a lively environment with like-minded people, inspiring teamwork and delivering excellent customer service. You will promote a helpful and welcoming environment that creates a positive first impression for members and visitors.

Previous experience in sales and customer service is beneficial, but if you are proactive and self-motivated, we will support your training and development to help you succeed and grow within the company.

Your career as a Placemaker can lead to roles such as Assistant Manager or Manager, with ongoing training, webinars, seminars, and cross-skilling opportunities including lifeguarding and swimming teaching.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven sales experience and negotiation skills, with the ability to close sales.
• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend suitable products or services.
• Experience in sales (required).
• Ability to explain membership benefits and upsell effectively.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
• Friendly, approachable, and confident with customers.
• Quick thinker with objection handling skills.
• Goal-oriented with a passion for exceeding targets.
• Efficient in handling sign-ups, renewals, upgrades, and cancellations.
