Trainee Sales & Property Management Agent

Cheltenham. GBP25/27K. Permanent

Interesting and varied role where no two days are the same! Our Cheltenham based Property Management and Estate Agent is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the team. With over 30 years experience of lettings, sales and property management our client offers full training, excellent working conditions and a small friendly team.

Candidates will need an interest in property sales, be confident in communicating both face to face and over the phone, and have the desire to offer a first-class service to both tenants and landlords. After training, the successful candidate will manage their own portfolio of properties!

Key duties will include:

  • Carry out face-to-face property viewings with a view to letting or selling properties
  • Follow up on sales leads
  • Log maintenance issues from tenants
  • Liaise with landlords & contractors to obtain quotes and effect repairs; ensuring properties are safe and legally compliant
  • Carry out routine property visits
  • Prepare properties for move-in, including inventories
  • Handle tenants vacating the property and conduct move-out inspections
  • Negotiate the return of deposits at the end of tenancy
  • General administration

Candidates core competencies:

  • Strong communicator with a confident telephone manner
  • Educated to A level standard
  • 1 - 2 years experience in a customer service based role
  • Keen to learn
  • Microsoft IT skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • A full driving license is essential
