Role: Sales and Business Development Coordinator

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 + Commission, OTE £25,000 - £35,000

Location: Aylesbury

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly detailed, customer-focused, and exceptional Sales & Business Development Coordinator to join our Commercial team in the Aylesbury Hire Centre.

As a Sales and Business Development Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in developing and promoting our hiring business by providing business development, commercial, and administrative support to the Depot. Reporting to the Depot Manager, you will support the Business Development Manager in achieving KPIs and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

You will be highly organized, driven, tenacious, a self-starter, confident, and reliable. Experience in business development, customer service, and sales (office-based) is essential. You will work in a supportive environment with positive and helpful colleagues.

Relationship building is key to this role!

Your responsibilities will include carrying out targeted calling campaigns and contacting prospective customers as part of a structured business development approach, using a blend of resources. The goal is to develop relationships with both existing and new customers and create new sales opportunities. Confidence and knowledge are essential.

As a Sales and Business Development Coordinator, you will:

  1. Be experienced in processing orders, completing credit checks, creating contracts, and preparing quotation packs that reflect customer requirements.
  2. Focus on customer needs and satisfaction, dealing effectively with their requests promptly.
  3. Have strong administrative experience gained in a customer service environment.
  4. Carry out structured business development, including local and national campaigns, with cold calling within your designated area to achieve order targets.
  5. Complete a customer care program to ensure maximum satisfaction, business continuity, and referral opportunities.
  6. Use internal systems (SAP, CRM) effectively to keep customer information up-to-date and aligned.
  7. Liaise directly with the Depot Manager and Chargehands regarding refurbishment, fitting out, deliveries, rectifications, and terminations.

Essential Experience

  1. Highly organized and detail-oriented, works at pace, confident, and reliable.
  2. Strong customer experience developing relationships over the telephone.
  3. Ability to identify new prospects and develop existing client relationships through structured calls.
  4. Dedication to customer experience and satisfaction.
  5. Proactive communication skills, including listening and consulting.
  6. Enthusiastic about demanding goals.
  7. Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  8. Ability to build an effective network of contacts inside and outside the organization.
  9. Previous experience as a Sales and Business Development Coordinator, Sales Coordinator, Business Development Coordinator, or Sales Administrator.
  10. A Full UK Driving Licence.
