Job summary

Hotel Chocolat is seeking a Sales Advisor for the UK, a role based at 6 Albert Street. You don’t need retail experience, but you must be a brand ambassador who is passionate, enthusiastic and customer focused.

You’ll share our premium chocolates with customers through warm, personal interactions and product knowledge. You’ll manage till transactions, tastings, stock and store presentation, while supporting deliveries and team goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Commitment to being a true brand ambassador who is passionate, enthusiastic and customer focused.
• Willingness to learn product knowledge and convey it to customers.
• Ability to deliver a warm, personal shopping experience and upsell where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome customers and immerse them in the Hotel Chocolat world.
• Identify customer needs through friendly conversation and demonstrate products.
• Conduct tastings and check allergens during interactions with customers.
• Close sales, recommend gift options and process transactions at the till.
• Maintain the appearance of the store and café areas to a high standard.
• Assist with deliveries and stock, and keep delivery areas tidy and safe.
• Respond to customer feedback and support team to drive store success.

What You’ll be doing:

• People are the reason you love retail! You’ll warmly welcome every customer and immerse them in the world of Hotel Chocolat.
• Discovering your customers’ needs and reason for their visit through friendly conversation.
• Delighting your customers through product demonstrations and tasting sessions, ensuring to check for allergens throughout your time with them.
• Closing the sale and confidently recommending additional products such as gift bags.
• Genuinely thanking your customer for shopping with us, ensuring they leave happy.
• Processing transactions, refunds and exchanges at the till.
• Responding to customer feedback.
• Working with your team to support with deliveries and stock management, keeping the delivery area is kept clear and tidy in line with our health and safety guidelines.
• Maintaining the appearance of the store and café areas to a high standard.
• If your store has a café area, you will be preparing hot and cold drinks, ice creams and snacks according to our guidelines and processes whilst keeping the area immaculately clean. The customer experience is just as important, however given the pace of a café, you will focus on upselling to your customer.
• Support where you can to the success of your store and team.
