Job summary

Hotel Chocolat in Belfast is seeking a Sales Advisor to join the UK’s favourite premium chocolate brand. You don’t need retail experience to work here—just a passion for the brand, enthusiasm and customer focus.

You’ll welcome customers, demonstrate products, handle tastings, and help with stock, till transactions, and store presentation while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Customer-focused with friendly approach.
• Willingness to learn product knowledge.
• Ability to upsell and handle till processes.

You’ll lovesharing our products with our customers with a warm and personal touch, ensuring that an amazing customer experience is delivered through excellent product and brand knowledge.

What You’ll be doing:

• People are the reason you love retail! You’ll warmly welcome every customer and immerse them in the world of Hotel Chocolat.
• Discovering your customers’ needs and reason for their visit through friendly conversation.
• Delighting your customers through product demonstrations and tasting sessions, ensuring to check for allergens throughout your time with them.
• Closing the sale and confidently recommending additional products such as gift bags.
• Genuinely thanking your customer for shopping with us, ensuring they leave happy.
• Processing transactions, refunds and exchanges at the till.
• Responding to customer feedback.
• Working with your team to support with deliveries and stock management, keeping the delivery area is kept clear and tidy in line with our health and safety guidelines.
• Maintaining the appearance of the store and café areas to a high standard.
• If your store has a café area, you will be preparing hot and cold drinks, ice creams and snacks according to our guidelines and processes whilst keeping the area immaculately clean. The customer experience is just as important, however given the pace of a café, you will focus on upselling to your customer.
• Support where you can to the success of your store and team.
