Qualifications

There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our Scotland West Division is looking to recruit a Sales Advisor to join the Division’s Sales team.

The Role

The Sales Advisor, reporting to the Sales Director, manages all aspects of the day-to-day running of the site sales complex, ensuring outstanding customer service throughout the customer journey. Responsibilities include achieving qualified sales reservations, meeting or exceeding sales targets, and efficiently progressing reservations through to exchange of contracts and legal completion.

Principal accountabilities of the role include:
  1. Maintaining high standards of site and sales complex presentation.
  2. Ensuring all relevant information for purchasers is accurate and available.
  3. Guiding potential purchasers around show homes, stock plots, and the site to demonstrate the product.
  4. Making visitors and potential purchasers aware of Bellway’s Health and Safety Policy, with all visitors accompanied by a Bellway representative.
  5. Maintaining accurate records using Bellway’s CRM system.
  6. Liaising regularly with purchasers, solicitors, and financial advisers.
  7. Arranging customer home demonstrations with the Site Manager and carrying out the company’s handover policy.
  8. Assisting purchasers post-legal completion with defects or customer care issues.
  9. Attending and minuting weekly Sales/Site Meetings with the Site Manager.
  10. Working proactively with Sales Managers and colleagues to suggest ideas for increasing sales.
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
Experience
  1. Experience in a face-to-face sales environment.
  2. Experience as a Sales Advisor for a residential house builder is desirable.
Qualifications and Training
  • GCSE Maths and English – Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
Skills and Aptitude
  • Effective negotiation and sales skills.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • IT literacy and adaptability to new systems.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
The Role and Working Conditions
  • Flexibility regarding duties and hours worked.
  • Lone working, depending on the site.
  • Ability to travel to all sales sites, including divisional offices.
  • Availability to work weekends and bank holidays.
