Job summary

Hotel Chocolat is seeking a Sales Advisor to welcome customers, share product knowledge, and create an exceptional shopping experience in our UK stores. You will demonstrate products, upsell where appropriate, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere with enthusiastic service.

The role involves till duties, handling refunds/exchanges, and assisting with stock and delivery tasks. No prior retail experience is required, but a passion for premium chocolate and a genuine customer focus are

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and immerse them in the Hotel Chocolat world.

• Close sales and suggest gift bags or additional products as appropriate.
• Handle till transactions, refunds and exchanges with accuracy.
• Maintain store and café areas to a high standard and support stock deliveries.

What You’ll be doing:

• People are the reason you love retail! You’ll warmly welcome every customer and immerse them in the world of Hotel Chocolat.
• Discovering your customers’ needs and reason for their visit through friendly conversation.
• Delighting your customers through product demonstrations and tasting sessions, ensuring to check for allergens throughout your time with them.
• Closing the sale and confidently recommending additional products such as gift bags.
• Genuinely thanking your customer for shopping with us, ensuring they leave happy.
• Processing transactions, refunds and exchanges at the till.
• Responding to customer feedback.
• Working with your team to support with deliveries and stock management, keeping the delivery area is kept clear and tidy in line with our health and safety guidelines.
• Maintaining the appearance of the store and café areas to a high standard.
• If your store has a café area, you will be preparing hot and cold drinks, ice creams and snacks according to our guidelines and processes whilst keeping the area immaculately clean. The customer experience is just as important, however given the pace of a café, you will focus on upselling to your customer.
• Support where you can to the success of your store and team.
