Job description

Location:Ideally central South (Reading, Thatcham, Southampton) or within the M4 corridor for easy access to accounts across the Southern territory.
Territory: South England (with regular travel and some overnight stays)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Account Manager to drive growth in the research sector within South England. In this role, you will be responsible for meeting sales targets by promoting a portfolio of research reagents and consumables across a wide range of biomedical applications including immunology, oncology, neuroscience, and stem cell research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales objectives and revenue growth within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with new and existing clients in academia, biotech, pharma, and CRO/CMO sectors.
  • Promote a comprehensive workflow of research products and solutions.
  • Prepare and execute a strategic territory business plan in alignment with overall commercial goals.
  • Conduct product presentations, technical seminars, and instrument demonstrations.
  • Represent the company at relevant trade shows, conferences, and scientific events.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A degree in a biological science (BSc minimum), with a strong preference for candidates holding an MSc or PhD in fields such as Immunology, Cell Analysis, or Cancer Biology.
  • Demonstrable sales experience in a scientific environment.
  • Proven ability to plan account activities strategically and deliver accurate sales forecasts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with diverse audiences from students to senior researchers.
  • Well-organized, self-driven, and commercially astute.
  • Must be based within the M4 Corridor and hold a valid UK driving license.
