Award winning media events business seeks a highly ambitious Business Development Manager to join their high growth media business selling high value, bespoke sponsorship and exhibition packages to a global client base within the exciting cyber security market.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate sales professional to join a rapidly growing business, selling within an established team on a marketing leading portfolio of b2b events.

The successful candidate will be part of a team that is responsible for selling sponsorship and exhibition packages to prospective clients, developing a strong client base and meeting set targets.

Due to the nature of the portfolio this role will have elements of key account management but there will also be the need to drive new business acquisition too.

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Selling exhibition space and sponsorship packages.
  2. Outreach calls to clients via a mix of warm incoming leads and cold calls.
  3. Achieving and exceeding team and individual sales targets, set by the Sales Manager.
  4. Face to face sales presentations with clients.
  5. Contributing ideas that will assist in the growth of the business.
  6. Attending competitor events to generate new leads.
Profile of Candidate:
  1. Proven experience in a media sales background – ideally exhibition sales 2 years +.
  2. A passion for sales and willingness to make outbound calls.
  3. Highly driven to hit targets and reach financial incentives (commission).
  4. Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  5. Strong communication skills.
  6. A confident, outgoing personality.
  7. Able to work as part of a team but also use their own initiative.
