We have an excellent opportunity for a talented Sales Account Manager for the UK and North American markets to join this rapidly growing manufacturing solutions company, based at their office in Headingley, Leeds, with travel throughout the UK and beyond this is the perfect role for enthusiastic people looking to get started in a fantastic industry.

About the company

Our client is one of the only companies in the world to offer such a massive range of prototyping and bespoke low volume manufacturing solutions, including rapid injection moulding, CNC machining. 3D printing (SLA, SLS, SLM) and more, all under one roof. They are a rapidly growing company who enables engineers, designers and entrepreneurs to quickly create high quality products and they are looking for experienced Sales Account Managers to join their friendly team.

About the role and responsibilities

As a Sales Account Manager, you will be assisted throughout to achieve sales and smash targets, there are no limits on the potential rewards for those willing to put in the hard work and as the main point of contact between the organisation and customers your responsibilities will include:

  • Building strong relationships with clients in order to provide superior customer service
  • Make cold calls to prospective clients in order to obtain new business
  • Grow, develop and manage roughly 100+ accounts from SMBs to Fortune 500s across the Manufacturing, Aerospace, Robotics, Automotive, Medical, and Energy industries
  • Manage incoming deals from existing clients, build relationships with current contacts, prospect for new contacts within your assigned accounts, and grow revenue
  • Strategize and formulate plans with your manager and team for how to continue growing revenue, margin, customer satisfaction, and recurring business within your accounts
  • Help customers get to market faster and more efficiently
  • Supporting manufacturing projects from the prototyping phase to production for CNC machining, injection molding, Sheet metal, and 3D printing
  • Help engineering teams reduce lead times and manufacturing costs
  • Be on the phone as a regular part of your day making both sales calls to potential clients and follow up calls to existing ones
  • You will be visiting your clients on-site about 15-25% of the time with travel throughout the UK, Europe and North America

About you

To be successful for the role of Sales Account Manager, you will need a natural sales ability, an eye for detail, be capable of working under pressure, demonstrate professional integrity and have credibility and commitment to client success and you must be / have:

  • Studied Mechanical engineering or product design or have an interest in it
  • Commercially driven, but customer focused
  • Sales experience preferred, the experience of (custom) part manufacturing, and series production or prototyping and product design would be beneficial
  • Having active accounts in one or more manufacturing relevant industries would be beneficial
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
  • Engineering education or experience is advantageous but is not essential

About the Rewards

For the role of Sales Account Manager, you will receive an excellent salary of £24000 + and up to 5% commission on sales plus:
