Qualifications

Job description

For our London-based team, we would like to get in touch with candidates for the position of:

Sales Account Manager

The Sales Account Manager manages a portfolio of customers and is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing existing accounts while hunting for new accounts to drive revenue and increase our market share. The role is responsible for implementing short and longer-term sales/revenue strategies and developing ongoing profitable relationships with Corporate and Enterprise customers. Achieving this through ongoing review of effectiveness with current sales programs, both domestic and international. Additionally, they will recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and future sales potential.

Key Job Responsibilities

Business Development

  1. Identify and develop account plans designed to increase revenue while managing compliance, profitability, and revenue channel development.
  2. Work in collaboration with the Operations and Engineering Product teams to deliver immediate and longer-term profitable revenues.
  3. Qualify and quantify the customer’s holistic needs in AV, Event Technology, Production, Creative, Digital, and all technical event needs.
  4. Act as the key contact for managed clients, understand customer’s needs and goals, and create and execute a strategy that aligns our clients’ resources and solutions that solve customer needs.
  5. Create and execute plans to further penetrate the account, including building our contact surface, securing customer appointments, and executing sales calls, customer business reviews, and strategic action plans to identify and secure both short and long-term revenue opportunities.
  6. Understand customer’s industry trends, and build a network that continues to establish credibility, rapport, and opportunities to engage customers.
  7. Ensure each account shows consistent progress, moving from vendor status through desired role of trusted advisor and moving up the buy/sell hierarchy by consistently establishing and delivering on our Core Value Proposition.
  8. Provide input into the Marketing team for delivery of timely collateral and associated materials to the business.
  9. Attend industry vendor events as an AVEX representative to obtain information that is formally shared with the wider company to support sales goals.
  10. Implement client onboarding and assist with invoicing and collections.

Operational and Technical Support

  1. Communicate the technical needs of each program effectively to clients and internal partners.
  2. Review quotes to ensure compliance with AVEX International Policies.
  3. Understand product offerings and servicing divisions and communicate the customer’s needs cross-functionally.
  4. Partner closely with operations and production team members as part of a client services team to maximize client satisfaction, ensure quality event delivery, and event profitability.

Job Qualifications

  1. Minimum 3-5 years successful sales and business development experience in related Industry.
  2. Proven ability to speak both publicly and privately in a professional, confident, and knowledgeable way.
  3. Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
  4. Ability to create technically and/or logistically complex proposals.
  5. Ability to create and execute a strategic customized account plan.
  6. Experience in networking targeted customers at industry events.
  7. Experience working within a team environment to over-deliver on desired results.
  8. Experience with contract negotiations and the ability to successfully navigate complex organizations.
  9. Experience with the use of customer relationship database.
  10. A very strong focus on achieving financial targets.
  11. Strong written and oral communication skills needed to draft sales presentations and effectively solicit business via phone and face-to-face customer contact.
  12. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  13. In-depth understanding of the modern workspace, AV, and UC collaboration industry.
  14. Previous experience selling related technical solutions and services into Corporate, Enterprise, and Government both direct and through Partners.
