Job description

Are you an experienced, results-driven Business Development Manager with a passion for sales and a knack for lead generation? Our client is looking for an experienced BDM within the shelving or POS displays, merchandising, fixtures, store development, and bespoke displays industry.

Location: Head Office Stoke on Trent - Covering Nationally

Type: Permanent (Hybrid working - Office day per week + Home and Field based)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Generation: Develop and execute strategies to generate leads across various channels. Utilise data and analytics to identify and target potential customers. Collaborate with marketing teams to optimise lead generation campaigns.
  2. Prospecting: Conduct research to identify and qualify potential leads. Tailor outreach strategies to engage with target demographics or industries.
  3. Customer Outreach: Initiate and maintain effective communication with potential customers. Nurture leads through the sales funnel, addressing their unique needs.
  4. Account Activation: Develop and implement strategies to convert leads into active accounts. Work closely with the sales team to ensure a seamless transition from lead generation to customer activation.
  5. Data Analysis: Analyse and interpret data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Use analytic tools to measure the success of campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
  6. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and customer success. Provide insights and feedback to optimise the overall customer journey.
  7. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of leads, interactions, and account activation processes. Document best practices and success stories to share with the team.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and best practices. Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives for enhanced efficiency.
  9. Training and Support: Share knowledge and insights to foster a culture of continuous learning relating to new clients and the sector.
