Salaried GP (view to partnership considered)

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic General Practitioner to join our dedicated and friendly team. This role is offered as a Salaried GP position, with a potential view to partnership for the right candidate.

Main duties of the job
  1. The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
  2. The provision of services commensurate with the primary care contract
  3. Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
  4. Effective management of long-term conditions
  5. Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests, and other associated administrative tasks
  6. On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
  7. Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy, and guidance
  8. Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
  9. Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
  10. Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
  11. Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) of the QOF
  12. Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
  13. Contribute effectively to the development and maintenance of the practice, including clinical governance and training
  14. Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
  15. Prepare and complete the revalidation process

  • We are a welcoming and well-established practice comprising 4 GP Partners and 3 Salaried GPs.
  • We have GPs with special interests in Diabetes, Paediatrics, ENT, Gynaecology & women's health, Medical Education, and Mental Health.
  • We have 3 GP Trainers. As a large training practice, we focus on medical education and host FY2 doctors, GP trainees, and medical students.
  • Our clinical team includes 2 Practice Nurses, 2 Clinical Pharmacists, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Healthcare Assistants, and a GP Assistant.
  • We have dedicated Acute Visiting and Frailty Teams, resulting in minimal home visit requirements, which are typically pre-planned.
  • GP assistants fully support duty doctor cover days.
  • Rated GOOD by the CQC.
  • We use EMIS, Accurx, Patches, and eConsult systems.

Job responsibilities

We are a high-achieving practice, recognized for our excellent feedback and outstanding QOF performance. With a patient population of approximately 11,900 patients across our three sites, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality, continuous care, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and ongoing improvement.

Our practice is conveniently located in Earlestown, with free on-site parking available.

We support newly qualified GPs, offering a varied and fulfilling portfolio of work tailored to individual interests and career goals.

We have six sessions on offer that will cover Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
