As part of the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme, we are now
seeking aSalaried GP to join our network team on a 12-month Fixed
term contract, with potential for extension depending on national DES guidance for 2026 - 2027.
6 practice sessions a week across the 3 practices plus an extra 1.5 CPD session

The salaried GP will work across the three practices with
Blackpool Central PCN.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality consultations, assessments, and treatment plans for registered patients, managing both acute and chronic health conditions.
Undertake telephone, face-to-face, and online consultations across the practices.
Issue prescriptions and follow up on test results and referrals as required.
Provide continuity of care by managing a personal caseload when appropriate.
Participate in the management of long-term conditions, health promotion, and disease prevention.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including clinical pharmacists, Mental Health Practitioners, and social prescribers, to support holistic patient care.
Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and population health management projects.
Support the delivery of Enhanced Access services and national health initiatives.
Maintain accurate medical records following GMC and practice protocols.
Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and CPD activities to ensure continuous professional development.
Work with other healthcare providers, including secondary care and community teams, to coordinate care and ensure seamless patient pathways.

Primary Care Networks are collaborative groups of GP practices working together to provide integrated and coordinated healthcare to the local population. They aim to improve patient outcomes through enhanced services and multidisciplinary care, while also supporting the sustainability and development of primary care.
Blackpool Central PCN is made up of three well-established practices:
Layton Medical Centre
Marton Medical Practice
Newton Drive Health Centre
Together, these practices serve a patient population of 29889 people. The PCN has a strong, experienced team that includes clinical pharmacists, social prescribing link workers, Health care workers, First contact Practitioner, mental Health Practitioner and more, working across the network to provide comprehensive patient care.
