Job summary

Menlo Park Recruitment is seeking a genuine senior GP for a rural practice near Lincoln, Lincolnshire. You will support newly qualified colleagues, have protected CPD time, and work across two sites with a central support hub.

The role includes 4 sessions per week (mon/tue preferred), 8am start flexibility, 26 patients per day cap, and a daily morning case discussion. Research and service improvement are encouraged.

Qualifications

Salaried GP | Near Lincoln, Lincolnshire

Background

This is a genuine senior role for an established GP. You will be the experienced clinician on site, supporting newly qualified colleagues, with a capped day, protected CPD and a central support team that keeps unnecessary work off your desk. Research and service improvement opportunities sit alongside the clinical role.

Location

The practice serves a picturesque, village-based community in rural Lincolnshire, south of Lincoln, working across two purpose-built sites with ample free parking. Lincoln and Sleaford are both around 20 minutes' drive, with Newark and Grantham around 30 minutes. The A1 and East Coast Main Line are within easy reach.

The Practice

• Small practice serving a rural, village-based patient list
• Central support hub including a clinical triage team, clinical pharmacists and a dedicated mental health workload team
• In-house digital tools that auto-file normal results, automate recalls and add safer prescribing prompts
• On-site ANP, nurse practitioners, practice nurses and HCAs, with an open-door policy for advice
• Research active practice (Level 2 accredited)

Your Role

• Weekly protected CPD, honoured, which many GPs complete from home
• 4 sessions, ideally Monday and Tuesday, with scope to increase to 6
• Flexible start times from 8am
• Capped at 26 patients per day in 10-minute appointments, with one home visit per day
• 40 minutes of protected time each morning for clinicians to discuss cases over coffee
• A light duty day of around six face-to-face appointments, with online requests triaged centrally first
• A senior, supportive presence for newly qualified GP colleagues
• Monthly service improvement day with no patient contact
• Suited to a GP with a few years' post-CCT experience

Salary and Benefits

• Sessional rates start from £11,000 per session
