Job summary

Bankfield Surgery is seeking a Salaried GP for a six-month fixed-term contract through March 2027. Two sessions a week, ideally Fridays, within a team of GP partners, a retainer GP, advanced nurse practitioners and nurses. Current GMC registration and a licence to practise are essential.

What the job involves

• Assess, diagnose, treat and manage acute and chronic medical conditions across a diverse patient population
• Provide a full range of general medical services under the NHS Contract
• Work as an autonomous practitioner delivering evidence-based primary care
• Prescribe medications appropriately
• Make referrals to secondary care and community services when required
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records on electronic patient record systems
• Take part in multidisciplinary team working and clinical meetings
• Take part in safeguarding activities
• Take part in quality improvement initiatives and practice development
• Adhere to GMC standards and contribute to effective practice management
• Maintain a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team
