Salaried GP at Hamdon Medical Centre, Stoke-sub-Hamdon

Symphony Healthcare Services (SHS) are looking to appoint a GP for Hamdon Medical Centre in Stoke Sub Hamdon, Somerset.

Join one of our many innovative primary care/general practice providers at the Medical Centre in Stoke Sub Hamdon, Somerset.

We have 8 sessions available with a competitive sessional pay rate. Starting salaries will be offered based on experience and the role you undertake within the practice.

Hamdon Medical Centre is a friendly practice in a rural village, supported by a network of practices, allowing GPs to focus on patient care.

Symphony is the largest GP provider in Somerset, benefiting from shared learning and best practices across 16 practices.

We have excellent transport links to London, Bristol, Exeter, and Bath by rail or road. Bristol, Bournemouth, Southampton, and Exeter International Airports connect Somerset globally.

Hamdon is a beautiful village in South Somerset, with easy access to the coast, surrounded by scenic walks and countryside views.

Main duties of the job

As a Symphony GP, you will perform all clinical duties typical of a GP in primary care, without the responsibilities and risks of being a Partner.

We offer positions from salaried through to employed and consultant-level GP roles, based on your experience and responsibilities.

All GPs are paid as employees, which reduces risk and allows more focus on patient care. Our GPs work flexibly, contributing to areas such as QOF, QI, training, and research. Salaried GPs have a defined job plan detailing hours, responsibilities, and tasks.

We support career development through annual appraisals and encourage role expansion or specialization within primary care.

Some GPs may prefer to remain salaried, while others may aspire to more responsibility or transition to employed or consultant roles.

  • Qualified GP with CCT or equivalent
