Exceptional opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic GP to join our forward-thinking, responsive, and friendly team practice in Stoke Sub Hamdon, Somerset, with 4 sessions available for a fixed-term contract.
Our practice list is about 5,000 patients, allowing you to know our patients well and provide continuity of care. We are also part of Symphony, the largest provider of NHS GP services in Somerset, offering the benefits of experience and learning across a network of 19 practices. Our team includes health coaches and medicines management professionals.
We are a small, country practice in a semi-rural village, supported by a network of practices, enabling you to focus on patient care.
Located with fast links to London, Bristol, Exeter, and Bath by rail or road, and close to Bristol, Bournemouth, Southampton, and Exeter International Airport, linking Somerset globally.
Stoke Sub Hamdon is situated 5 miles west of Yeovil, under Ham Hill Country Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The village is just a 30-minute drive from the coast. It has a small-town community feel with lovely local schools and excellent private and state schools nearby.
You will undertake all clinical duties associated with a GP in primary care, without the responsibilities and risks of being a partner.
The post holder will manage a caseload, addressing a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring high standards of care for all patients.
All GPs working for Symphony are paid as employees, reducing risk and allowing more focus on patient care. We prioritize patient care, with flexible working and roles focused on continuity of care. You will contribute to QOF, QI, training, and research projects, providing variety in your role. Our salaried GPs have a defined job plan outlining hours, responsibilities, and tasks.
Through annual appraisal, we support career development and progression and encourage GPs to extend their roles or utilize specialist skills in primary care.
