Job summary

South Coast Medical Group is seeking a motivated Salaried GP to work 6 sessions per week at Denmark Road Medical Centre for a 9-month fixed-term maternity cover. The role includes face-to-face and telephone clinics, with a strong emphasis on safe, compassionate, high-quality primary care within a collaborative team.

The post requires working Tue, Thu and Fri, delivery of comprehensive primary care, and participation in a wide range of duties alongside our multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• GMC registration and MBBS or equivalent are essential for the role.
• MWRCGP qualification preferred; active UK practice eligibility is required.
• Inclusion on the Performers List and DBS check are mandatory.
• Valid UK driving licence and access to a car are advantageous for home visits.
• Experience in primary care and multidisciplinary team working is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide the full range of general medical services within primary care.
• Manage a varied caseload with acute and long-term conditions; conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations.
• Prescribe, review investigations, make referrals and occasionally conduct home visits.
• Participate in team meetings, audits, and PCN activities; maintain high clinical standards.
• Ensure confidential, compassionate care and support maternity cover period.
