Job description

6 sessions post to start in June 2025 for 12 months (must include Tuesdays and Fridays)

Sessional Rate starting from £10,965 per session, depending on experience

Come and work at one of the largest practices in Hackney with a well-established partnership and management team committed to providing excellent care to patients and staff alike. We are a dynamic practice, keen to innovate and think more widely about primary care with partners involved in the broader healthcare system.

Main duties of the job

You can expect:

  • To be part of a friendly, supportive multi-disciplinary, close-knit team
  • Total Triage appointment system using Accurx Triage, with 14 telephone consultations in each morning and afternoon session. You control your face-to-face appointments. Note: 10-minute slots are no longer standard.
  • Brand new, state-of-the-art premises with spacious rooms; each clinician has their own regular room
  • A strong focus on continuity of care, with each GP having their own patient list
  • Low home visit burden (less than 1 per week on average)
  • Excellent back-room support including document coders, secretaries, duty administrators, and an efficient clinical pharmacy team
  • Paid protected time for weekly clinical meetings, monthly supervision sessions with a partner, and a generous study leave allowance. Half a session each week is allocated for your own admin and follow-ups.
  • A commitment to staff wellbeing, including daily huddles, weekly fresh fruit deliveries, bring-a-dish days, dinners out, fitness challenges, away days, and holiday presents for Christmas, Easter, and Eid

Person Specification
Experience
  • Eligible to work in NHS General Practice with MRCGP qualification
  • Experience as a GP educator, with appraisal experience or additional clinical skills beyond general practice
