A healthcare provider in Whitley Bay is seeking a salaried GP to join their supportive team. The role involves patient assessments, surgical consultations, and health education. Weare looking for a salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team. We would prefer 4 sessions, but this could be negotiable for theright candidate. Wewould welcome applications from GPs at any stage in their career including newly qualified.
We are very focused on well being and team development holding about 8 Time In sessions per year which is a mixture of ICB led Time Out sessions and In House Team Development sessions per year. We have clinical meetings most weeks. We have a strong focus on staff well being and during the pandemic created a small garden and zen room to take time out in. We also have regular and one off social and well being events.
We are a 4-partner practice, and we employ a management team, 9 salaried GPs, 1 Practice Nurse, 3 Health Care Assistants, 2 Paramedics, 1 Physicians Assistant (On sabbatical), 3 Pharmacists and 1 Pharmacy technician. We also work with the PCN and have ARRS roles in Mental Health, Physiotherapy, NEAS paramedics for a home visiting service and administrators.
The Practice has excellent facilities for patients and staff, this comprises of 8 GP Consulting Rooms, 2 examination rooms & 3 Nurse Treatment Rooms with preparation areas: office accommodation, meeting rooms and communal kitchen area for lunch and coffee.
In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion
Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and un-diagnosed problems
Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness

Our pharmacists andnursing team play an integral role within the organisation delivering our Long-TermCondition Management as well as managing medication changes from hospitalletters and discharges.
We have pharmacyteam support daily which helps reduce GP workload and they are always availableto offer medicines advice.
Ouradministration team consists of skilled medical secretaries who deal with allreferrals and help with all correspondence to external health professionals.
We have aproficient coding team that will ensure your correspondence is kept to aminimum freeing your time up to concentrate on contact time with patients andgood clinical care.
Our friendlyreceptionists ensure that your surgeries run smoothly on a day-to-day basis.
We also have anavigator system that has been developed specifically to the Practices visionand this helps with continuity of patient care.
Job summary:
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. This role will be: -

Clinical responsibilities:
The successful applicant will need to have personal cover with a professional defence organisation and will be required to prove evidence of insurance cover and GMC membership on an annual basis to the Manager. Presently Medical Indemnity is paid by the Practice.
