Job summary

Abbey Medical Practice is seeking a Salaried GP to join a semi-rural dispensing practice of about 9,750 patients alongside three partners and three other salaried GPs. The role focuses on urgent, primary and community care with face-to-face, telephone and remote consultations.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients across urgent, primary and community care settings.
• Prescribe, investigate, refer and elevate care as clinically required.
• Deliver face-to-face, telephone and remote consultations.
• Maintain clear and accurate clinical records.
• Provide high-quality patient communication and safety-netting.
• Work within multidisciplinary teams and established clinical pathways.
• Support safe, patient-centred care within governance and safeguarding requirements.
• Contribute to service quality, patient safety and continuous improvement.
• Carry out duty doctor sessions for the practice.

Job description

Salaried GP post at Abbey Medical Practice, a semi-rural dispensing practice of around 9,750 patients, alongside three partners and three other salaried GPs. The work centres on assessing, diagnosing and managing patients across urgent, primary and community care, by face-to-face, telephone and remote consultation. Six sessions a week are spread over Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, with duty doctor sessions included. Applicants need full GMC registration with a licence to practise and eligibility for the NHS England GP Performers List.
