Job summary

Abbeywell Surgery in Romsey invites applications for a Salaried GP to join our friendly team. We are looking to cover 6–8 sessions per week and offer a full induction and a supportive duty roster with at least two GPs on duty.

Our practice runs across two central Romsey sites and benefits from EMIS Web and Docman 10, a collaborative atmosphere, and ongoing training opportunities with GP registrars and medical students.

Qualifications

• MRCGP (or equivalent) qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide GP consultations as part of a duty rota with at least two GPs on duty.
• Participate in the duty team and on-call arrangements.

• 2 sites in central Romsey with circa 17,000 patients

• In-house referral protocol on EMIS, giving easy access to referral letter templates
• Routine day is 25 x 15 minute appointments (mixture of face-to-face and telephone consultations) and no extras
• Most GP visits covered by trainees
• Dedicated admin GP, who covers your results on the days you are not in
• Close working with the PCN and helpful access to Social Prescribers, First Contact Practitioners, Wellbeing Practitioners, and Clinical Pharmacists
• Established training practice with GP registrars, FY2s and medical students
• Successful research practice
• Quality filter coffee (sourced from a small business), and premium tea bags!
