Qualifications

• MRCGP qualification is required.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work in teams.
• Demonstrate understanding of differences between a partner and a salaried doctor.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport.
• Adaptable to change.
• Available to undertake the sessional requirements of the Job Description.
• Interest or additional qualifications in a specialist area.
• Experience supervising or mentoring trainees, medical students, or allied health professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of general medical services face-to-face and telephone.
• Manage a varied clinical caseload across all age groups.
• Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate.
• Prescribe safely and effectively in line with local and national guidelines.
• Refer patients to secondary care and other services as required.
• Participate in duty doctor.
• Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records using EMIS.
• Participate in safeguarding processes for children and vulnerable adults.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed team player to join our fantastic practice team.

We offer a supportive learning environment for all our clinical staff.

We are looking for a salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team due to the relocation of one of our existing salaried GPs.

Main duties of the job

• 15 min appointment slots
• Priorities for work/life balance.
• Very occasional home visits.
• Paramedic Home Visiting Services.
• Practice Pharmacy team reducing prescription workloads.
• Rapid Health automated triage service meaning little involvement in triage.
• A dedicated Administrative Team reducing letters.
• Training practice.
• EMIS Web.
• There is also opportunity for overtime when providing holiday cover.
• low staff turnover across all areas
