Job summary

Hylton Medical Group in Sunderland is seeking a highly motivated GP to join our friendly practice for 6-8 sessions per week. You will join a dedicated team of GPs, nursing and administration staff, working from purpose-built premises and delivering a full range of Enhanced Services.

Responsibilities include comprehensive primary medical care, managing acute and chronic conditions, home visits where required, reviewing clinical results, and contributing to safeguarding, governance and MDT

Qualifications

• Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
• Current UK professional registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Prescribe safely and cost-effectively in line with local and national guidance.
• Engage in clinical governance, QOF, audit and quality improvement activity.
• Overseeing of GP Registrars and medical students.
• Contribute to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
• Work collaboratively with the wider PCN and community services.
• Participate in appraisal, revalidation and mandatory training.

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic GP to join our friendly team. The position is for 6-8 sessions per week. You will join a dedicated team of GPs, supportive nursing and administration teams. We work from purpose built premises and provide a full range of Enhanced Services and Chronic Disease Management.

Main duties of the job

You will be joining a supportive, friendly and well organised GP practice to provide high-quality, patient-centred general medical services to the registered diverse population of Gosforth, working as part of the multidisciplinary primary care team in accordance with GMC standards, NHS regulations, and practice policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary medical care including consultations, examinations, and treatment planning

We are a friendly, well-organised 2 Partner Practice serving around 7,400 patients. We are also part of 7 practices that make up Sunderland West Primary Care Network which has an excellent track record for collaboration, care and support.

Our Practice Team includes 2 GPs Partners, 4 Salaried GPs, Pharmacists, and a very experienced Nursing & administration team.

We have regular clinical meetings, practice meetings and MDT meetings.

There are opportunities for the candidate to develop special interests and take a lead role in specific areas of chronic disease management.

Job responsibilities

To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
