Pilgrims Way Surgery is seeking a four-session salaried GP to join a small team serving around 9,000 patients. Core work spans GMS and enhanced services, with duties including screening, care planning and prescribing within ICB policy.

NHS England list inclusion and GMC registration are required; newly qualified doctors are welcome to apply. The role offers a supportive environment with a Wednesday essential and negotiable session split.

Responsabilités

• Provide the full range of core GMS medical services, plus additional and enhanced services where appropriate
• Provide other personal medical services to meet identified patient needs
• Make professional, autonomous decisions on presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred by other clinicians in the practice
• Assess patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
• Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
• Develop care plans with patients in line with current practice and disease management protocols, including counselling and health education
• Prescribe within current ICB policy
• Complete tasks and duties set by the partners or practice manager

A new four-session salaried GP post at Pilgrims Way Surgery, a GMS practice with around 9,000 patients. Core work spans GMS and enhanced services, assessing undiagnosed problems, screening, care planning and prescribing within ICB policy. Two days a week with Wednesday essential and one duty day, though the session split can be negotiated, in a small team with a low home-visit rate. Full GMC registration and NHS England list inclusion are required, and newly qualified doctors are welcome to apply.

What the job involves
