Job summary

Market Cross Surgery is recruiting a salaried GP to work as an autonomous practitioner delivering primary medical care to its registered patient list under the GMS contract. The role includes routine and urgent consultations, prescribing and long-term condition management, with rotating telephone triage and duty doctor shifts, and involvement in teaching medical students.

The successful candidate will hold Full GMC registration, be on the National Performers List and possess a CCT in General

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration and eligibility to work in the UK.
• MRCGP (or equivalent) completed.
• CCT in General Practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver effective medical care to the practice population under the GMS contract.
• Manage long-term conditions effectively.
• Prescribe generically in line with local and national guidance.
• Process referrals, repeat prescriptions and other administration promptly.
• Carry out rotational telephone triage and duty doctor roles.
• Share an equal part of the practice workload.
• Keep accurate clinical records.
• Follow clinical guidelines and take part in audit.
• Take delegated responsibility for QOF areas.
• Complete appraisal and revalidation.
• Support medical student training.
• Support partners with strategic aims, including income and cost recommendations.
