Job summary

Brookside Group Practice is seeking a Salaried GP to join a multi-disciplinary team serving around 31,000 patients. The role involves 4-5 sessions per week, performing surgery and telephone consultations, conducting home visits, and maintaining accurate records.

There is an overflow system shared with other GPs and allied health professionals, and training is provided through external teaching programmes. The post requires a fully qualified GP with current GMC membership.

Job description

Salaried GP post at Brookside Group Practice, one of four surgeries serving about 31,000 patients, in a multi-disciplinary team working 4-5 sessions a week. The work covers surgery and telephone consultations, home visits and record keeping, plus a daily overflow shared with GPs and allied health professionals, as there is no duty doctor. The practice is a training practice with a regular external teaching programme, and home visits are largely done by paramedics. Fit depends on being a fully qualified GP with current GMC membership.

What the job involves

• Provide medical services to the practice population, including surgery and telephone consultations, home visits, and accurate administration and records


• Comply with the GMS/PMS (17c) contract, Enhanced Services, educational and training contracts, and private contracts


• Adhere to the principles of good medical practice


• Share the daily overflow with the practice's GP and allied health professional team


• Potentially supervise allied health professionals within the practice's supervisory GP model for acute and routine care


• Optionally take part in group consultations and lifestyle medicine
