Job summary

Banbury Cross Health Centre in Banbury invites an experienced GP to provide high quality general practice services across a diverse patient population. The role offers flexible patterns (full-time or part-time) across sites, with no out-of-hours or weekend commitments depending on pattern, and active participation in teaching and QOF targets.

Qualifications

  • Recognised Medical Degree (MBChB/MBBS) and Full GMC Registration.
  • CCT and National Performers List registration.
  • MRCGP is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day general practice across a large surgery.
  • Cover care homes and private school ward rounds as needed.
  • Supervise GP registrars/F2s and advise allied health professionals.
  • Manage your own patient list and assist with meeting QOF targets.

Main duties of the job
The Person:

We are looking to appoint an experienced GP who is motivated, independent, and interested in providing high quality clinical services to a varied and deprived population. The successful applicant will be expected to work flexibly across the different sites and subject to agreement this may include some weekend hours in their pattern of work.

The Practice has a high-achieving QOF track record and is closely involved in local GP-led commissioning, with mostly paperless administration; our main practice system is EMIS Web, and our GPs also Docman regularly.

Job responsibilities

We are looking for an GP who is able to fulfil all the various aspects of day-to-day general practice at our large surgery in Banbury.

This would include covering care homes/private school ward rounds, supervising GP registrars/F2s and supervising/advising our wide and varied mix of allied health professionals. The right person will have experience in managing their own patient list and assisting with meeting QOF targets.
