Job summary

Phoenix Health Group is seeking a Salaried GP to join a busy, thriving practice in the Cotswolds. The post covers a couple of Partners with a mix of acute and routine clinics, supported by a large MDT and in-house care teams.

Surgeries are located across Cirencester, South Cerney, Kemble and Tetbury, with dispensing at Tetbury and Kemble. The role involves up to four clinical sessions per week, handling routine and urgent care, and managing associated administrative tasks.

• Must hold GMC registration and be eligible to practice in the UK.
• Evidence of current appraisal and safeguarding training.
• Performers list registration in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide up to 4 clinical sessions per week across acute and routine care.
• Cover for Partners and manage list administration and results (bloods, letters, prescriptions).
• Maintain GMC registration and comply with annual appraisal and safeguarding requirements.
• Work within a multi-site practice with a multidisciplinary team in the Cotswolds.

Job summary

We are looking for a Salaried GP to join our busy, thriving practice in the Cotswolds.

We are a multi-site, 24,500 patient practice with a fantastic multi-disciplinary team, including 12 Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 4 Urgent Care Practitioners, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, a large multi-skilled Nursing Team, a Pharmacy Team and multiple Administrative staff who all support the successful running of the practice.

Main duties of the job

Our practice operates a usual GP system to ensure excellent continuity of care. The successful candidate will provide cover for a couple of Partners throughout the week, holding clinics comprised of acute and routine appointments. They will also be responsible for covering any admin associated with that list, including the filing of blood results, patient letters, tasks and prescription requests.

GP workload is supported by a range of in-house Allied Health professionals.

We also have a dedicated team of frailty nurses, and nursing home matrons to help manage our elderly and housebound patients.

The practice uses Systm1, Accurx and AccurxScribe and is shortly adopting a clinical triage system.

Job responsibilities

The successful candidate will work up to 4 clinical sessions, with acute and routine workload combined.

The clinic structure is as below:

• 7 urgent on the day telephone calls
• 9 routine calls
• 6 GP to book only face to face appointments (routine calls blocked in lieu if face to face slots are booked)
• 1 home visit, if required.

Morning sessions run from 8:30am-1pm and afternoon sessions run from 1pm-6pm. The successful candidate will be responsible for clearing the admin associated with the list for that session. The successful candidate must maintain registration with the GMC, be compliant with annual appraisal and revalidation and ensure all mandatory training and safeguarding requirements are up-to-date.
