Job summary:

To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for providing medical services to the practice population, delivering excellent clinical care while complying with the PMS contract. The post-holder will adhere to GMC standards for good medical practice, contribute to effective practice management, lead by example, and maintain a positive, collaborative relationship with the multidisciplinary team.

Job responsibilities

Job summary:

As an autonomous practitioner, responsible for medical services provision to the practice population, delivering high-quality care and adhering to the PMS contract and GMC standards. The role involves contributing to practice management, leading by example, and fostering teamwork.

Generic Responsibilities:

  • Participate in duty doctor rotations.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records.
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to practice initiatives.
  • Support training and development of medical students.
  • Contribute to practice governance, training, and financial management.
  • Ensure compliance with appraisal and revalidation processes.
  • Engage in self-learning and CPD.
  • Support strategic goals, income enhancement, and expenditure reduction.
  • Review and adhere to practice policies.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and collaborative working.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in audits and local initiatives.
  • Review significant events and conduct root cause analyses.

Person Specification

Experience

  • Experience working in a GP setting.

Qualifications

  • GMC registered
  • DBS checked
  • Performers List holder
