Permanent Salaried GP - 6 Sessions per week

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner to join our friendly healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to patients, ensuring their health and well-being through effective diagnosis, treatment, and
ongoing management of various health conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Duties:

- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients to diagnose medical conditions.

- Develop and implement personalised treatment plans based on patient needs.

- Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatment.

- Provide ongoing patient education regarding health management, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications.

- Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

- Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance medical knowledge and improve patient outcomes.

- Manage patients in various settings including, nursing homes, home environment and hospital.

- Stay informed about public health issues and contribute to community health initiatives.

Requirements:

- Medical degree from an accredited institution and valid medical licence to practice.

- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, with the ability to apply this knowledge in clinical settings.

- Experience in patient care across diverse environments such as hospitals, clinics, or community health settings is preferred.

- Familiarity with clinical research methodologies is advantageous.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from varied backgrounds.

- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a high standard of care.

- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with medical advancements.

Tavyside is a modern purpose-built primary care clinical setting, with a dispensing branch surgery in Lifton Devon, providing high quality care to our 13,500 patients. Tavyside has a team of 8 highly committed clinical partners, 9 salaried colleagues, a proactive
nursing team and a strong effective management and administrative support structure. The whole team work closely together and pride ourselves on our open-door ethos.

Tavyside are a training practice with both registrar and medical student placements, we boast a high attainment of QoF/ enhanced services and patient satisfaction, we are a committed and active member of West Devon PCN and are rated good across all services
with the CQC.

Informal visits are welcome by arrangement.
