We are looking for someone to work asan autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical servicesto the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical carewhilst complying with the contract.
Working two sessions a week on Fridays
Six weeks annual leave plus bank holidays- pro rata
Furthermore, the post holder willadhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to theeffective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining apositive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
An interest in education would beadvantageous.
Main duties of the job
- The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
- The provision of services commensurate with the primary care contract
- Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
- Effective management of long-term conditions
- Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
- On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
- Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
- Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
- Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
- Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
- Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
- Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
- Contribute effective to the development and maintenance of the practice including clinical governance and training
- Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
- Prepare and complete the revalidation process
- Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team
- Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure

Crick Medical Practice is a ruraldispensing practice with a 6,350 list size. Situated in a lovely village inNorthamptonshire, we also operate a satellite surgery in the next village ofWest Haddon.
Supported by three GP partners, two salariedGPs, a Clinical Pharmacist, one Advanced Nurse Practitioner, three practice nurses,a phlebotomist and a dedicated administration, reception and dispensingteam.

The following are the core responsibilities of the Salaried GP. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:

- Participate in practice audits as requested by the audit lead
- Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care
- Participate in the review of significant and near-miss events applying a structured approach i.e., root cause analysis (RCA)

Qualifications

- Full GMC registration
- National Performers List registration
- Appropriate defence indemnity (MPS/MDU)
- Evidence of current validation

- Minimum of two years as a salaried GP
