Royal Well Surgery seeks a Salaried GP to join their dedicated team, providing high-quality patient care with opportunities for training involvement. The role offers a balanced work-life with generous leave and a supportive environment in picturesque Gloucestershire.
Salaried GP
Salary: Negotiable based on experience
Due to one of our long-serving GP’s moving out of the area, the team at the Royal Well Surgery are looking to welcome a 4 session Salaried GP, to the established small team.
All the team at the Royal Well Surgery are proud to provide consistent high-quality care to our registered patients as we continue to evolve and grow, while embracing a forward-thinking way of working. This includes a team consisting of Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Specialist Paramedics, Nurse Practitioners, and specialist nurses. As the lead practice for the St Paul’s PCN we also work alongside a team of Clinical Pharmacists and Technicians, Social Prescribing Link Workers, a First Contact Physiotherapist and a Frailty and Dementia Team.
We pride ourselves on working as a team across all the clinical staff, administration staff and practice and operational managers. We have introduced a ‘Hot Team’ as the first port of call for all urgent and same day appointment requests.
All our staff including GPs enjoy a well-balanced work life, with 6 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave a year. A routine session consists of 10 face-to-face or telephone appointments (10 x 15-minutes) and 3 follow up telephone calls only bookable by the GP.
We are recognised as being a leading Training Practice, and we presently have 3 (soon to be 4) of our Partners as GP Trainers. We also work with the Universities of Bristol, Worcester and East Sussex in hosting 3rd, 4th and 5th year Medical Students and Physician Associate Students. All members of the team can be involved in the training side of the practice.
We are a very low visiting practice, with on average 3 visits a week. We take part in the St Paul’s afternoon Visiting Service, which is managed by 2 experienced paramedics.
We like to think we are embracing the future, with use of clinical and non-clinical software and AI where appropriate.
We look forward to welcoming a new GP to our loyal and hard-working team. We hope for any successful applicant to start at the beginning of October 2025, if possible. We are open to negotiation on sessional days and times. We will offer a BMA Model Contract and comprehensive Job Plan.
