Job description

We are seeking a salaried GP to join our friendly team. The role ideally involves 4-5 sessions per week, with flexibility for part or full-time applicants. There is potential to join the partnership in the future for interested candidates.

We welcome applications from current GP trainees, First 5 GPs, or those seeking a well-supported role. Candidates are encouraged to arrange an informal practice visit to experience our supportive environment and flexible working arrangements.

Remuneration is negotiable, with salaried GPs earning approximately £10,000 per session per year. The number of sessions and working days are flexible and can be discussed. The practice does not require extended hours or out-of-hours services.

Each session includes 12 appointments, a mix of remote and face-to-face, with each appointment lasting 15 minutes. Our GPs enjoy a healthy work/life balance.

GPs manage their own bloods and Docman letters, with minimal admin workload thanks to our efficient administrative team. We collaborate with the Airdrie pharmacotherapy hub for discharge letters and medication-related Docman tasks. We also utilize modern digital dictation and video-telephony systems accessible remotely via smartphone app.

Home visits are minimal, typically up to 3 per week, mostly handled by our ANP. Home visits for palliative care are conducted by the assigned GP for continuity. The practice does not cover nursing or care homes.

The successful candidate will receive annual and study leave as per BMA guidelines and indemnity cover through our practice group scheme.
