A leading semi-rural training practice near Bristol is looking for a dedicated GP to manage EA sessions each Thursday. The role involves patient consultations, primarily over the phone, and offers robust team support in a well-structured practice environment that promotes continuous learning and development.
We are looking for a GP to cover our EA session on a Thursday each week at our semi-rural training practice, a short drive from Bristol.
Our practice aims to run efficiently with excellent admin and IT support (EMIS), with many letters/results handled for you. We have a buddy system for checking results, mentoring opportunities, admin time, and coffee/tea breaks. Clinicians catch up daily at breaks and via Teams. We promote a culture of learning through regular clinical meetings, opportunities to develop knowledge in specialist areas, and involvement in research projects. We are a Park Run practice, interested in the environment and individual wellbeing. We have a garden and an active social team.
A typical session starts at 4:00 pm and ends at 8:00 pm.
Appointments before 6:00 pm are booked on the day as second on duty, with an aim to schedule these as phone calls where possible.
Appointments from 6:30 pm onwards are pre-booked by the Reception Team and are rarely face-to-face.
We care for 14,500 patients. Our team includes ANPs, Clinical Pharmacists, a Mental Health Worker, and Physiotherapists.
It's one of the most organized practices I've worked in. (GP who has recently joined).
Here's what a GP who moved to Wales said:
"I would unreservedly recommend working at FVMC. Welcoming and friendly, good pay, manageable workload. Very flexible and accommodating. They ensure staff are well supported, fostering a culture of helping one another and maintaining good relationships, which makes it a lovely place to work."
