Job summary

Stone Cross Medical Centre in West Bromwich is seeking a Salaried GP for a thriving, friendly practice. We are ideally looking for 7-9 sessions per week, though fewer may be considered for the right candidate.

The practice serves about 5500 patients and uses System One Clinical; training can be provided if needed. As a salaried GP you will join a supportive team, undertake consultations, and participate in patient care administration.

Qualifications

• Qualified GP with GMC Registration and National Performers List membership.
• Evidence of continuing professional development and GP appraisal.
• Excellent communication and team-working skills.
• Strong time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with clinical paperwork management.
• Experience with System One Clinical is a plus; training can be provided.
• Friendly, approachable, patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide GP consultations and patient care within the practice.
• Undertake patient-related administration and clinical support to staff.
• Develop a lead in a clinical area to improve service quality.
• Participate in NHS contracts, directed and enhanced services and QOF.
• Engage with Black Country ICB and Primary Care Network activities.
• Deliver clinics with face-to-face, telephone, and home visits.

Clinical System - System One Clinical, training can be provided if necessary.

Job responsibilities

As a salaried GP you will contribute fully to the clinical workload of the Surgery providing consultations, undertaking patient-related administration and providing clinical advice and support to medical and nursing colleagues/staff. In addition to this, the Surgery will support you in the opportunity to take on a speciality role of your interest.

A salaried GP will work within a contractual framework. You will have an allocated area of clinical responsibility/expertise in which you are expected to develop a lead for the Practice and ensure high standards of service quality and delivery in respect of our NHS contract, directed and enhanced services and the quality outcomes framework.

You will participate in activity that supports the Surgery involvement as an active member of Black Country ICB and our Primary Care Network.

We are seeking doctors who will be committed to contribute to our work to maintain quality standards in primary care, help us develop services targeted at health promotion and disease prevention and maintaining or increasing patient satisfaction scores at or above national average levels.

You will be expected to do clinics with face to face consultations, telephone consultations and home visits and participate in team development activities.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a qualified General Practitioner with GMC Registration and Registered on the National Performers List.
• Must be Membership of a recognised Medical Defence organisation (for non-state backed provisions) This will be reimbursed by the Surgery.
• Evidence of continuing professional and personal development, GP Appraisal, Revalidation Certificate (when appropriate)
• A good understanding of patient centred approaches to care
• Time management being able to prioritise and work under pressure
• Management of clinical paperwork for patients
• Preferred experience of System One Clinical System if necessary, training can be provided.
• Self-motivated and reliable with excellent organisations skills and communication skills with patients and all colleagues
• Friendly and approachable manner with good people skills and a good Team player with respect for all members of the GP SurgeryTeam
