Job summary

City Square Medical Group in Tower Hamlets seeks a Salaried GP for 4–6 sessions across two sites (Deancross Street and Cable Street). The team includes doctors, a pharmacist, a nurse practitioner, First Contact Physio, practice nurses and HCAs, with strong reception and admin support.

GMS, EMIS Web, and a supportive PCN federation are in place. Salary is £11,000 per session with medical indemnity cost reimbursed.

Qualifications

• GMC registered; MBBS or equivalent; Performers List; Medical Indemnity; experience with British Primary Care systems.
• Willingness to undertake CPD and stay up to date with appraisal/revalidation.
• Ability to work in a confidential environment with a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgery, telephone and video consultations and handle paperwork efficiently.
• Make autonomous clinical decisions for patient care within the practice.
• Assess health needs of patients and develop care plans per current guidelines.

Job summary

City Square Medical Group in Tower Hamlets is looking for a Salaried GP 4 - 6 sessions to work across 2 sites, Deancross Street and Cable Street branch. We are a friendly innovative practice. 4 Partners with a team of doctors, pharmacist, nurse practitioner, First contact physiotherapist, practice nurse and health care assistants. Full support from reception, administrative and management staff. List size 13,000 + and growing, GMS, Emis Web. Part of an enthusiastic PCN and members of a federation, working together with local practices to achieve better clinical care. Focused on team working, training and continuously developing our staff.

We work from two Purpose built premises with dedicated parking. Salary £11,000 per session + Medical Indemnity cost reimbursed.

Main duties of the job

• In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake duties including surgery consultations, telephone/video consultations and queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion
• Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the practice or external organisations
• Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
• Effectively manage own time, workload and resources
• Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
• Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols
• Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate
• Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
• Contributing to QOF requirements and recording data appropriately
• Contributing to PCN requirements and recording data appropriately
• Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions
• Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate and review as and when required
