Job summary

Phoenix Family Practice in Weybridge is seeking a salaried GP to join a large, open and democratic team that values data-driven decision making and clinical excellence. The role offers on-site clinics with 15-minute appointments and opportunities to lead a dedicated clinical area.

You will contribute to total triage, participate in daily team huddles, and support both acute and routine presentations while staying aligned with current NHS guidelines.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent qualification required.
• Desirable postgraduate diplomas or qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site face-to-face GP consultations (15-minute slots).
• Share triage duties with on-site training if required.
• Conduct home visits or care-home rounds when clinically indicated.
• Manage patient list and daily prescriptions, lab results and clinical correspondence.
• Handle referrals and letters as part of self-generated admin.
• Attend daily catch-up and monthly practice meetings.
• Lead a clinical area (e.g., mental health, diabetes or palliative care).

Hone your clinical skills in a practice that offers 15 minute appointments, BMA guide patient contact counts and GP-only total triage.

Job responsibilities

The role of salaried GP at Phoenix Family Practice includes:

• On site face to face clinics supporting the local patient population, dealing with both acute and routine presentations
• A share of triage duty with on-site training if required
• Home visits or care home rounds, where clinically indicated
• A patient list which you will manage.
• Daily prescriptions, a share of laboratory results and clinical correspondence.
• Self generated admin including referrals and letters.
• Attendance of daily catch-up meetings and practice meetings monthly
• Ownership of a clinical area in the practice such as mental health, diabetes or palliative

Qualifications

Essential

• MBBS or equivalent qualification

Desirable

• Specialisations with attached Diplomas or Postgraduate Qualifications

Experience

Essential

• Experience working as part of a NHS General Practice Team
• Experience working with EMIS
• Experience working with Accurx
• Experience working with Docman10

Desirable

• Experience of digital triage and assessing the urgency of cases
• Experience teaching, training and supervising medical students, resident doctors or non-medics.
