East Cleveland PCN is seeking newly qualified General Practitioners to provide comprehensive care to patients across its member practices. Ideal candidates will possess MRCGP and be ready to contribute effectively in a clinical environment focused on patient health and support.
Due to the changes in the ARRS Scheme to introduce General Practitioners, East Cleveland PCN is looking to expand our team by seeking to employ newly qualified General Practitioners to work alongside our practices and PCN staff.
Visa sponsorship may be available for suitable candidates.
Candidates who do not yet hold MRCGP but are due to qualify prior to appointment are eligible to apply and should confirm this during pre-screening.
Thepostholder will be expected to:
perform as an autonomous general practitionerworking independently and with other health care professionals to assess,diagnose and treat the conditions of patients attending within a primary caresetting
provide expert professional advice topatients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinicalexcellence.
be involved in the provision of education andtraining to GP Registrars and other staff.
be professionally accountable and responsiblefor all elements of clinical practice in accordance with the GMC code ofconduct ensuring the safety of patients and quality of their care is primary.

The postholder will need to be capable of independent travel across the East Cleveland areaand work flexibly to meet the needs of the Business.

Clinical responsibilities
In accordance with the practice rota, as agreed, thepost-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of dutiesincluding surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visitingpatients at home, checking and signing/authorising repeat prescriptions anddealing with queries, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely fashion
Making professional, autonomous decisions inrelation to presenting problems, whetherself/referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
Assessing the health care needs of patients withundifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
Screening patients for disease risk factors andearly signs of illness
In consultation with patients and in line withcurrent practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health
Providing counselling and health education
Admitting or discharging patients to and from thecaseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate
Recording clear and contemporaneous consultationnotes to agreed standards
Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute andrepeat prescriptions
Prescribing in accordance with the practiceprescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate
Visiting patients during surgery time in anemergency if clinically indicated
Undertake a fair % of On Call/duty doctor sessionsper week as allocated on the practice rota and participate in the extendedhours enhanced service as necessary
Undertaking fair share of home visiting sessions perweek as allocated.
