Job summary

Braemar Medical is recruiting Salaried GPs across three North Buckinghamshire sites. This role offers rotational sessions with dedicated admin time and a balanced workload, across a well-supported primary care team.

Newly qualified GPs earn £10,000–£11,000 per session; experienced GPs can earn up to £11,900 per session. The work is part-time with a permanent contract and EMIS as the clinical system.

Qualifications

• GMC registered and UK GP qualification required.
• Experience in UK primary care is preferred.
• Familiarity with EMIS or willingness to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Operate rotational session model across multiple sites.
• Deliver a mix of face-to-face, telephone, and navigator sessions.
• Participate in admin time and advance rota planning.

About the Role

Braemar Medical is currently recruiting Salaried GPs on behalf of one of our established GP surgery clients in North Buckinghamshire.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and supportive Primary Care team that has developed a working model specifically designed to give its GPs variety, focused clinical time and a balanced workload.

The practice operates across three GP surgery sites within North Buckinghamshire, all approximately 15 minutes' drive from one another. To protect our client's confidentiality, full site details will be provided to suitable applicants during the recruitment process.

The clinical team currently includes 6 GP Partners and, following the completion of the current recruitment, will have 9 Salaried GPs. The GP team works part-time across different days, creating a flexible and collaborative working environment.

Working Pattern & Session Types

Rather than expecting GPs to undertake the same type of clinic throughout the week, the practice operates a rotational session model that has been successfully established for several years.

GPs rotate across different session types, helping to provide greater variety and dedicated time for different aspects of their workload.

Clinical Navigator Sessions

Morning: 8:00am – 1:00pm
Afternoon: 2:30pm – 6:30pm

Face-to-Face Sessions

Morning: 9:00am – 1:00pm
Afternoon: 2:00pm – 6:00pm

Face-to-face sessions include:
12-minute appointments Approximately 14 patients per session Dedicated catch-up time Home visits where required Telephone Sessions
Morning: 9:30am – 1:30pm
Afternoon: 2:30pm – 6:30pm

Approximately 20 telephone calls per session.

Admin Sessions

Morning: 9:00am – 1:00pm
Afternoon: 2:00pm – 6:00pm

8-Week Advance Rota

• One of the benefits of the practice's working model is that the rota is prepared approximately 8 weeks in advance, giving GPs good visibility of their upcoming working pattern and helping with work-life balance and forward planning.

The practice has invested in a range of Primary Care systems and technology to support its clinicians, including:

• EMIS
• Docman
• Accurx
• Accurx Scribe
• Anima

Salary

The practice welcomes applications from both newly qualified and experienced GPs, with salary dependent upon experience:

• Newly Qualified GPs: £10,000 – £11,000 per session per annum
• Experienced GPs: Up to £11,900 per session per annum

About the Practice

You will be joining an established Primary Care team with 6 GP Partners and a growing Salaried GP workforce.

The practice has operated its rotational working model for several years, with adjustments made over time to provide GPs with a good mixture of face‑to‑face clinical work, telephone consultations, Clinical Navigator responsibilities and protected administrative time.

The position is based across three locations within North Buckinghamshire, with all three sites approximately 15 minutes' drive apart.

Person Specification

We would be interested in hearing from GPs who are:

• GMC registered
• Qualified to work as a GP within UK Primary Care
• Newly qualified or experienced
• Comfortable working across a variety of clinical session types
• Confident managing both face‑to‑face and telephone consultations
• Able to work collaboratively within a larger GP team
• Organised and comfortable working within a structured rota
• Familiar with EMIS or willing to quickly become confident using the system
