Job summary

Rossendale Valley Medical Practice is seeking a dedicated Salaried GP to join our small single-handed GP Practice in Lancashire. The role is for two sessions per week, with the day to be mutually agreed, offering a supportive multidisciplinary team and opportunities for QOF and quality work.

Job summary

Rossendale Valley Medical Practice is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our small single-handed GP Practice. You will have the opportunity to work with a supportive and experienced multi-disciplinary team to deliver high quality patient care. We work closely with our PCN and have a number of PCN staff based within the Practice including First Contact Physiotherapy, Nursing Associate, Physician Associate, Mental Health Practitioner and Pharmacy Technician.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a 2 sessions per week (day to be confirmed) salaried GP who will work as an autonomous Practitioner providing high quality, evidence based, primary care services.

You will undertake a full range of general medical services in accordance with the NHS Contract including appropriate administrative work such as investigations and correspondence, as well as QOF and quality work.

You will adhere to General Medical Council standards and contribute to effective practice management, maintaining a positive and collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.

Job responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based medical care

• Contribute to clinical governance, significant event reviews and audits

Administrative & Organisational Duties

• Process referrals, repeat prescriptions, and associated admin tasks
• Contribute to medicines optimisation across the Practice
• Attend and contribute to Practice meetings
• Support our GP in achieving strategic aims and service development
• Adhere to Practice policies, protocols, and regional directives

• Commit to CPD, appraisal, and revalidation
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications

Essential

• Qualified General Practitioner with GMC registration and licence to practise
• Experience with QOF and quality targets, audits and clinical governance
• MRCGP
• Experience working within UK General Practice
• Included on the NHS Performers List

• Excellent clinical knowledge and communication skills
• Commitment to high quality patient care
• Able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Good working knowledge of EMIS
