Provide high-quality, patient-centred clinical care to our diverse population, including acute, chronic disease, and preventive care.
Undertake face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations as part of our total triage model.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective, holistic care.
Contribute to the continuity of care through personal list working where possible.
Participate in practice meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and significant event reviews.
Support and supervise trainees and students, depending on experience and interest.
Manage administrative tasks related to patient care, including referrals, pathology results, and correspondence.
Take part in duty doctor sessions on a shared rota basis.
Engage with practice development, innovation, and service improvement.

Hawkinge and Elham Valley Practice is a friendly and forward-thinking GP practice serving a patient population of over 10,000 across two sites in Hawkinge and Elham. We offer a full range of NHS General Medical Services and are proud to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to our local communities.
Our multidisciplinary team includes GP Partners, Salaried GPs, a Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, General Practice Assistant, Clinical Pharmacist, and Paramedic Practitioner. The clinical team is fully supported by an experienced and proactive management and administrative team.
We are a training practice involved in the development of Foundation Year 2 doctors, GP registrars, nurses, and medical students. Salaried GP Hawkinge and Elham Valley Practice
Role OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and professional Salaried GP to join our team at Hawkinge and Elham Valley Practice. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive NHS Primary Medical Services to our registered patients, temporary residents and those in need of immediate treatment. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic environment, contributing to high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical assessments, diagnoses, treatments and referrals in line with NHS guidelines.
Participate in the duty doctor rota and manage urgent patient needs.
Maintain GMC registration and NHS Performers List inclusion.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care.
Support quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and service development.
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
Full GMC registration and inclusion on the GP Performers List.
Experience working in Primary Care.
Commitment to CPD and maintaining professional standards.
