SAIS Improving Uptake Officer (Non Clinical) - Lancashire

As an Improving SAIS Uptake Officer, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team to deliver an effective service, supporting managers and staff across the programme.

NOTE: This post is to provide additional resources to support programmes in exceeding the standard requirements of the service specification regarding coverage and uptake, not to establish these standard processes.

The post holder will focus on increasing the uptake of SAIS across the programme geography.

In particular, the post holder will:

  • Work with colleagues in schools with low uptake to improve participation.
  • Collaborate with PCN/GP practices to support individuals vulnerable to non-participation in accessing catch-up immunisations.
  • Engage community groups and individuals to raise awareness of immunisations and facilitate access, including attending community events.
  • Support schools with additional needs through interpreters, managing consent, etc.
  • Enhance communication strategies for schools, including producing webinars for schools, parents, and young people to dispel myths and share positive messages.
  • Translate materials and utilize interpreters where necessary.
Main duties of the job

Provide proactive, outward-facing support to improve SAI uptake, contribute to quality and outcomes, and reduce health inequalities by developing targeted interventions. Support the SAIS team in achieving KPIs, engage with system partners, and use evidence-based practices to inform work. Maintain records for quarterly and annual reports.
